Constables Chuck Konklin and Wayne Glibbery of Matsqui police display more than $4,500 of stolen property recovered during an investigation into 19 recent local break-ins in the Abbotsford, Sumas and Matsqui areas. The 19 break-ins occurred within the months of December 1978 and January 1979, a police spokesman told the ASM NEWS. Recovered was some $3,500 in coin collections and loose coins, an assortment of jewelry, tools, and other personal items. Some of the stolen goods were discovered in Vancouver while the rest was found on Vedder Mountain and in two local homes, police stated. A major break in the investigation occurred during the first weekend of February (2nd-4th), 1979, as two Abbotsford youths were reported trying to sell some coins in a Vancouver coin shop.
